Shahjahanpur: Boy kills self after girlfriend refuses marriage

A youth allegedly killed self in Nigohi town of Uttar Pradesh on Monday after a dispute with his girlfriend. The boy committed suicide by shooting himself near the railway station.

Shahjahanpur: A youth allegedly committed suicide on Monday after his girlfriend refused to marry him over some dispute.

According to the police, 19-year-old Satpal committed suicide by shooting himself near the railway station of Nigohi town.

The incident took place after the couple had some tiff over the phone, after which the youth reportedly took the extreme step.

"A shot in the head killed the young man on the spot," the police said.

After the incident, the police reached the spot and sent the dead body for post-mortem. Further investigation is underway.

According to the elder brother of the deceased, Satpal was upset over the issue of marriage with his girlfriend and that could be the reason for his suicide.
