Noida (UP):In a major development, Gautam Budh Nagar District Magistrate (DM) Brijesh Narayan Singh on Sunday attached 76 properties including 74 flats, 1 shop and 1 plot in the Shahberi case.
The value of these properties has been estimated at around Rs 25 crore.

Speaking to media, DM Brijesh Narayan Singh said that action has been taken against the illegal builders.
"Total of 76 properties have been attached. The tehsildar of Dadri has been appointed as an administrative officer to investigate the matter and action will be taken further by identifying such builders.
SSP Vaibhav Krishna said that 86 cases have been registered in the Shahberi case so far in which 15 have been registered under the Gangsters Act.
It is to be noted that Since 2011, the Allahabad HC has imposed status quo in Shahberi which means that any acquisition, change in land use, construction or sale of property in the area would not be allowed.
However, several new buildings have come up in Shahberi illegally. The Greater Noida Authority is now getting a structural audit done for all the buildings in Shahberi area.
