Ayodhya: All arrangements at the Ram Temple site in Ayodhya for the bhoomi pujan ceremony, which is slated to be held on August 5 have been completed.
The ground-breaking ceremony of the temple is scheduled to begin from 11 am and is likely to be attended by over 200 high-profile guests.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to create history by laying the foundation stone of Ram Temple in a time frame of '32 seconds'. Senior BJP and RSS leaders, who were associated with the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, are expected to witness the grand ceremony.
'Deepotsav' to mark temple construction
Last time, Ayodhya registered its name in the Guinness Book of World Records after 6 lakh earthen lamps lit up the Sarayu river bank on the eve of Diwali. Now, the temple town Ayodhya is all set to recreate the moment, as a grand deepotsav has been planned to mark the day.
Temple Trust has sent the list of guest to PMO
Shree Ramjanmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has sent the final list of guests to the PMO, however, the trust has not disclosed the names of invitees.
Consensus on the names of 200 people
The temple trust had made a list of 268 guests to be invited for the bhoomi pujan but a consensus has been reached to invite around 200 people. They will be made to sit in a block of 50 people. One block will be reserved for the country’s top sadhus, saints and mahants, while another block will be for the top leaders who were associated with the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple movement. A block will also be earmarked for industrialists, senior bureaucrats and other distinguished guests. The chief ministers of some states are also likely to partake in the event.
