Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary, Rajendra Kumar Tiwari, on Thursday directed the district administrations to provide necessary treatments to all migrant labourers, who are coming to the state due to nationwide lockdown.
"All government officials and employees should treat the migrants with respect and kindness. In case of any laxity in this matter, action will be taken against the officers and employees concerned. Arrangements for proper food, fresh drinking water, and pandals at appropriate places," said the chief secretary while directing the officials.
"Arrangement of adequate buses at the place of entry in the state and at least 200 private buses and school buses in each district should be reserved for the migrants. Proper arrangements should be made to take migrants by buses or trains so that migrants do not have to travel on foot or other unsafe vehicles - two-wheelers, three-wheelers," Tiwari said.
