Political parties must decide not to give tickets to criminals: Allahabad High Court

The Allahabad High Court rejecting the bail pleas filed by the station in-charge Vinay Tiwari and Inspector K. Sharma, cited that the political parties should sit together and decide to not give tickets to the criminals. Station in-charge Vinay Tiwari and Inspector K. Sharma are accused of providing information to gangster Vikas Dubay before the police raid.

Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh):The Allahabad High Court rejecting the bail pleas filed by the station in-charge Vinay Tiwari and Inspector K. Sharma, cited that the political parties should sit together and decide to not give tickets to the criminals. Station in-charge Vinay Tiwari and Inspector K. Sharma are accused of providing information to gangster Vikas Dubay before the police raid.

Justice PK Srivastava said that some policemen keep in touch with the gangsters. The reason for this is also known to the police department. The court said that it is a common practice of political parties in the country to welcome gangsters and they are ready to commit organised crime for that party. Political parties save them by supporting them in crime and the criminals start proving themselves as Robin Hood. Political parties give them tickets and some criminals also win. The court said that this practice of political parties should be stopped.

The petitioners said that there is no evidence against them, a fabricated allegation has been made against them. The Additional Government Advocate said that the petitioner was always in touch with the gangster. Earlier, when the police team that went to catch gangster Vikas Dubey reached the Bikru village, Vikas Dubey and his associates started firing on them. Eight police personnel including the CO were killed in that incident.

After the incident, Vikas Dubey had escaped from the spot. He was nabbed from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh. He was later killed in a police encounter while being transferred to Kanpur. Along with this, some of the associates of Vikas Dubey, accused in this case, were killed in an encounter by the police.
