Police FIR claims gangster Vikas Dubey's house not demolished

Weeks after Uttar Pradesh government razed the house of gangster Vikas Dubey, a new twist has come to light that in the process of retrieving weapons and explosives from hollow walls of the house, the load-bearing capacity of walls reduced. An earthmover was used to carry out a search operation in slain history-sheeter Vikas Dubey’s house.

Kanpur:Weeks after dreaded criminal Vikas Dubey's encounter, Uttar Pradesh police had demolished his house in Bikru village.

However, now a new twist has come to light that in the process of excavating the weapons and explosives from hollow walls of the house, the load-bearing capacity of walls reduced.

This statement was registered in an FIR with the Choubeypur police station under Arms Act on July 04, sources said.

The FIR was lodged by the SHO of Choubeypur police station, Vinay Tiwari under the Arms Act stipulates that upon receiving inputs about “deadly weapons” being kept inside “hollow chambers” inside the roofs and ceiling of the house, the police team raided Dubey’s house on July 4.

The police found a large number of weapons, cartridges, bombs and explosives which had been embedded inside the walls, floors, and gaps in the ceiling plastered with light mud.

According to the statement, the building became insecure for further recovery and an earthmover was used for further recovery. In the process of recovery, some part of building collapsed.

Reportedly, Dubey’s house was demolished by the Kanpur administration a day after the ambush in which eight policemen were shot dead by him and his associates.
