Police constable thrashes senior traffic cop in UP

A police constable thrashed a senior traffic cop following a heated argument over some issue. The police constable has been asked to report to the police line with immediate effect.

Pilibhit: In a scuffle that began between a head constable of traffic and a police constable at Gauhania Chowk on Tanakpur highway in Uttar Pradesh's Pilibhit district on Friday ended in a brawl.

According to reports, head constable of traffic police Jagdish Kumar was on duty when he landed into a heated argument with police constable Chandra Prakash over some issue. In a fit of rage, Prakash thrashed Jagdish and also abused him verbally. Following this, Jagdish went to the city SP Jayaprakash Yadav and narrated his ordeal.

Annoyed over the incident, SP Jayaprakash ordered constable Chandra Prakash to report to the police line with immediate effect and assured him of taking strict action against him after getting a detailed report from the city Circle Officer Praveen Malik.

SP Jayaprakash said that indiscipline will not be tolerated at any cost. He also said that the police investigation in the matter is underway.
