TN Express halted near Mathura after 'hoax bomb call'

The Tamil Nadu Express was briefly halted at the Kosi Kalan Railway Station, just a few minutes away from the Mathura Junction, after the officials received a phone call warning of bomb in the train.

Mathura: Panic gripped Kosi Kalan Railway Station near Mathura after a hoax call about bomb in Mumbai-bound Tamil Nadu Express train recieved by security officials on late Thursday Night.

The local police and railway authorities, who had searched the entire coaches for more than 1.5 hours, declared the call as a prank.

Railway Protection Force and Government Railway police personnel searched the train after halting at Kosi Kalan Railway Station just a few minutes away from Mathura Junction.

According to reports, the Delhi police control room received a call from an anonymous person. On being alerted, the police formed a team and when the train reached Kosi Kalan Railway station, the search was conducted.

But the B-4 bogey was not there linked with the Train in which bombs were reported.

No explosives were found on the train and the threat call was declared as a hoax bomb call.
