Agra: Uttar Pradesh's Agra is a major tourist attraction and is visited by foreigners in a large number. The Taj city is a destination that is visited by both domestic and international tourist. Keeping this in mind, panic buttons will be set up across the city for people's safety.
Panic buttons to be installed in Agra for people's safety Agra Municipal Corporation has announced that it will install panic buttons at different parts of the city for the safety of the citizens and to further improve the response time of the law enforcement agency.
63 streets have been identified for the installation of panic buttons that will give alert signals to police when it is pressed.
Panic buttons may also be used for an emergency ambulance service.
Sharing details of the initiative, Agra Mayor Naveen Jain told media, "Agra is an international tourist city that is visited by tourists in large numbers, both domestic and international. For their safety, we have identified 63 major streets and junctions of the city under the smart city scheme and will be installing panic buttons at these places."
