Fatehpur (UP):A notorious criminal involved in several cases was arrested by Fatehpur Police in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday on charges of extortion.
As per a complaint lodged on August 20 by one Rinku Biyani, the prime accused Bhallaram (30) along with two to three of his associates had visited the former’s office a few days ago.
Bhallaram put a pistol on Biyani’s head and asked for extortion money of Rs 25 lakh in cash or else threatened to kill him and his family.
Based on the complaint, police launched an investigation and apprehended Bhallaram. A country-made pistol, live ammunition, two mobile phones were seized from his possession. Further investigation is underway.
