Agra:In a prank by unknown people, a letter stating that every girl student of Agra's St. John College should have a boyfriend before Valentine's day has gone viral troubling the prestigious institution.

Spreading the message of love, the viral letter said for security purposes every girl student should have a 'mandatory' boyfriend before February 14 and those without one would not be given entry into the campus.

"It is mandatory for all girls to have at least one boyfriend by 14 February. This has been done for security purposes. Single girls will not be allowed to enter into college premises. They'll have to show a recent picture with their boyfriend. Spread love," the letter read.

Prank letter with fake signature

Clearing the air on the letter, Dr SP Singh, the principal of the college said there is no teacher named Prof. Ashish Sharma in the college and the letter is fake.

"Disciplinary action will be taken against whoever has done this work," Singh added.

St. John's College's response

Earlier, a similar letter went viral in the name of Dayalbagh Educational Institute.
