A Rampur woman sells off baby to live with lover

A woman from Rampur sold her nine-month-old baby to live with her lover. The couple got arrested by the police later and the baby was rescued from Faridabad.

Rampur:In a shocking incident, a mother sold her nine-month-old baby to live with her lover in Uttar Pradesh's Rampur. According to the sources, the accused woman Chaman had an estranged relationship with her husband and found their nine-month-old baby as a burden. She had an extramarital affair with one Vipin. One day both of them decided to run away and sell the baby. A couple from Faridabad bought the baby for ₹2.5 lakh.

After a few days, Chaman left Vipin and returned home and lied to her brother Alam that Vipin had abducted her baby. Alam complained to the police and a case of kidnapping was filed against Vipin.

When the police got hold of Vipin, he revealed the truth to the police after which he along with Chaman were taken into custody.

Police rescued the baby and registered a case against the Faridabad couple as well.
