Muzaffarnagar: Body of missing lawyer found drowned in Ganga

A 35-yr-old lawyer, who had gone missing four days ago, was found dead in Ganga river in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar on Sunday. The police suspects he had committed suicide by jumping into the water.

Muzaffarnagar:The body of a 35-year-old lawyer was found from the Ganga river near Hasvala village in Uttar Pradesh's Muzzafarnagar district, four days after he went missing. The police suspects that he committed suicide by jumping into the river.

Miranpur Police Station in-charge Pankaj Tyagi said, "Mohit Sharma had been missing since July 25 and a team of divers found his body from the river on Sunday."

"We suspect that he committed suicide by jumping into the river. His motorbike was found near the Ganga barrage on July 25," he added.

The dead body has been sent for postmortem and a probe is underway.
