Mayawati lost love and respect, says UP BJP chief

UP BJP chief Mahendra Nath Pandey on Thursday said that Mayawati, while earning wealth has lost the love and respect of her community. He also took a dig at the Congress manifesto and said that it is baseless.

Chandauli: In a scathing attack on Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati over her 'no more Modi' tweetUP BJP chief Mahendra Nath Pandey on Thursday said that people only want Modi. He also said thatMayawati while earning wealth lost the love and respect of her community.

"Only Only Modi...this is what people want. Mayawati has lost the love and respect of the people," Pandey said after addressing the party's booth-level programme in Chandauli.

He also took a dig at Congress manifesto and said that it is baseless.

He said, "Congress promiseof providing Rs 72,000 per year to the poorest families is a lie. It only knows to shed crocodile tears for the poor."

"Five years of BJP rule was much better than Congress' 60 years of rule. People know that Congress only make fake promises," he added.

Pandey also slammed Congress' promise to bring a seperate budget for farmers, saying that now they are thinking about farmers but the Modi government always cared for them. "It started various schemes for farmers benefit such as Kisan Bima Yojna, Health Card, Kisan Samman Yojna etc," he said.

"Congress was never worried about the farmers...BJP if voted to power will do more for their development," he added.
