Man who threatened to kill Uttar Pradesh CM presented before Lucknow court

Kamran Amin Khan was presented before the Lucknow court for allegedly making a call to the social media help desk of the Uttar Pradesh government threatening to assassinate chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

Lucknow: The man, who had allegedly made a call to the social media help desk of the Uttar Pradesh government threatening to assassinate chief minister Yogi Adityanath, was presented before the Lucknow court on Sunday.

A Special Task Force (STF) team of Uttar Pradesh had demanded the transit remand for the accused so that further investigation can be carried out.

It is to be noted here that the message was sent by a man identified as Kamran Amin Khan who accused the chief minister of being anti-Muslim and called in the early hours of Friday saying that CM Yogi Adityanath will be assassinated in a bomb blast.

After tracing the number from which the message was sent to Khan, Uttar Pradesh police informed the Maharashtra police and the ATS began an inquiry. Subsequently, Khan was arrested by the Maharashtra ATS from Mumbai’s Chunabhatti area on Saturday.
