Lakhimpur (Uttar Pradesh): A 21-year-old man was allegedly shot dead by his friend over a financial dispute in Uttar Pradesh, police said.
The man was identified as Utkarsh Saksena of Bahadurnar in Lakhimpur where the shooting took place. Police said Yash Gupta of Santaka Devi area has been arrested.
Police said the shooting followed an argument between the two a month ago over financial dealings.
On Sunday, Gupta called his friend Utkarsh to a place near a Government Leprosy Hospital and shot him dead, police said.
Later, Gupta dumped the body in the bushes and fled the spot.

"Within 24-hours of investigation, we have arrested the accused, Yash Gupta he will be produced before a magistrate and will be sent to judicial custody after interrogation," Lakhimpur SP, Vijay Dhul said.
