Man booked for assaulting toll plaza staffers

Ghaziabad Police have booked a man, who claimed to be a relative of a lawmaker, for assaulting staffers of Dasna toll plaza. The investigation is on and action would be taken against the guilty, the police said.

Ghaziabad: A man, who claimed to be a nephew of Dholana MLA Aslam Chaudhary, has been booked for allegedly beating up Dasna toll plaza staffers on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

Police said the accused threatened the staffers saying he is a nephew of the MLA. He started abusing and fighting with the staffers as they asked for the toll amount.

A case has been registered at Masuri police station under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code on Wednesday, a day after the incident, the police said, adding that necessary action would be taken after probing the incident.
