Hyderabad: Mahant Narendra Giri's disciples Anand Giri and Aadya Tiwari have been sent to 14-day judicial custody by CJM Harendra Tiwari at Prayagraj Session Court on Wednesday.
They were taken into custody in connection with Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad (ABAP) President Mahant Narendra Giri's death case.
Sandeep Tiwari, son of accused Aadya Tiwari, has also been arrested in connection with Mahant Narendra Giri's death case. His name was mentioned in the suicide note recovered from the death site.
Meanwhile, Haridwar Roorkee Development Authority has sealed the under-construction ashram of Anand Giri on Wednesday for allegedly building against the rules. Giri's ashram is situated in the Ghaziwali area of Haridwar. Earlier in May also Development Authority had sealed the ashram with the same allegation.
Earlier in the day, Mahant Narendra Giri was laid to rest at his Math in Prayagraj with saint's rituals. According to his desire mentioned in the note, Narendra Giri was laid to rest under a lemon tree in the garden of Baghambri Gaddi. A square deep pit was dug near the tree to give him Samadhi.
