Unnao rape survivor accident: ADG Rajiv Krishnan reaches Lucknow Trauma Centre

Rajiv Krishnan, ADG Lucknow Zone, visited the Unnao sexual assault victim at the Lucknow Trauma Centre, where she was admitted after suffering injuries in a car accident. The victim's car was hit by a truck leading to the death of her aunts, while she and her lawyer were seriously injured.

Lucknow: Rajiv Krishnan, ADG Lucknow Zone, visited the Unnao sexual assault victim at the Lucknow Trauma Centre, where she was admitted after suffering critical injuries in a car accident, and said that the victim's family is yet to lodge an FIR with the state police. He also informed the media that the truck involved in the accident has been seized by the police and the driver has also been arrested.

Elaborating on the security arrangements made for the victim, who is on life support, the ADG said that they had deployed nine police personnel to ensure her protection. But none were present at the hospital during his visit.

The victim's car met with an accident in Rae Bareli on Sunday while she was going to visit her uncle, who is in the district jail, with her aunts. The car was hit by a truck, wherein both her aunts died while the victim and her lawyer were seriously injured. The two were admitted to the Lucknow Trauma Center after the accident.
