After discharge, Kalyan Singh re-admitted to Ghaziabad hospital

Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Kalyan Singh after being discharged from the Rajdhani Corona Hospital was re-admitted to Ghaziabad hospital after his health conditions worsened.

Ghaziabad:Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh has been re-admitted to Yashoda Super Speciality Hospital in Ghaziabad. Singh was tested positive for COVID-19 two days and was admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPIMG) and was discharged earlier on family's request.

The 88-year-old leader was rushed to Ghaziabad Hospital at around 2:30 pm after his condition exacerbated. The hospital has come on record to confirm the development and said that the authorities are providing him with all the required emergency services.

A team of specialised doctors attending him are monitoring his situation round the clock.

Singh had no fever and was normal at the time of discharge, the SGPIMG had said in a bulletin.

"Singh who was undergoing treatment for COVID-19 infection in Rajdhani Corona Hospital SGPGI, Lucknow was discharged on the request of his relatives. He was absolutely stable and was improving. He was maintaining 10 per cent oxygen saturation on room air," it had stated.

"He (Kalyan) did not have fever and his BP was also normal. As per the family wishes, he was discharged today at 3 pm," it had said.

Singh was admitted to SGPG on Monday with complaints of fever, dry cough and breathlessness and was tested positive for COVID-19.
