Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh): Megastar Amitabh Bachchan's upcoming film 'Gulabo Sitabo' is an inspiring film based on the real lives of 'Puppet shows' and 'Puppet Masters'. The shooting of the film is currently going on here.
Puppets named 'Gulabo Sitabo' are quite famous in India and Alakh Narayan Srivastava, the person behind the whole concept of Puppet shows in India is also from Lucknow.
While speaking to ETV Bharat he stated that he is unaware about the movie and its storyline too.
He began with the culture of making puppets since 1958 and took his training from Naini cultural institute.
After completing his training he went to Delhi. In those days, Delhi was for the first time witnessing the culture of Puppet culture through various theatre shows of Vimla Raina, the wife of the then Deputy Minister Jagath Mohan Raina.
After watching his show at the 'India 58th Exhibition' the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru had also praised him.
