Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday announced the state government's decision to name the Home Guard Divisional Training Centre in Moradabad in honour of late Minister and cricketer Chetan Chauhan.
"Honouring the sentiments of the regional public, CM Yogi Adityanath has permitted the naming of the Divisional Training Centre of the Home Guard Department in Moradabad district in the name of Chetan Chauhan, former cabinet minister, Uttar Pradesh," the Chief Minister's office informed.
The late Minister's wife, Sangeeta Chauhan, thanked Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the decision.
"The decision takes as a tribute to my husband and late leader Chetan Chauhan is commendable. Heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath from my family and the entire state of Uttar Pradesh," she tweeted in Hindi.
