GST commissioner's wife commits suicide in Noida

The wife of a Delhi posted Assistant GST Commissioner, has committed suicide by consuming poison. She was rushed to the Prayag Hospital in critical condition. As per police, the family of the victim has claimed dowry-related harassment. Noida Police has arrested the accused husband and his parents.

Noida: The wife of a Delhi posted Assistant GST Commissioner, has committed suicide by consuming poison. She was rushed to the Prayag Hospital in critical condition. As per police, the family of the victim has claimed that the woman angered by dowry-related harassment, took the extreme step. Noida Police has arrested the accused husband, mother and father-in-law and is further investing the case. Meanwhile, the woman passed away at late night.

Investigation of dowry-harassment

Noida Zone's Additional DCP Ranvijay Singh has informed that Aman Singla works for Revenue Services as an officer. He is a resident of Patiala and had married 6-months ago. He further added that Police's first priority was to save the woman's life. The family members of the victim have accused of dowry-harassment and physical torture because of which the woman took poison. The senior police official has also assured of a thorough investigation in the matter.

GST Assistant Commissioner arrested

As per the information received, the woman has succumbed late-night. According to sources, the woman consumed poison and later suffered a cardiac arrest, because of which she died. Noida Police has arrested the victim's husband and his parents. A senior official has confirmed that once they receive the recorded statement from the victim's family, necessary action would be taken.
