Gorakhpur: In a re-run of the 'Anamika Shukla' scam, as many as 51 teachers have been suspended in Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur district, for obtaining their jobs using fraudulent methods.
Gorakhpur basic shiksha adhikari (BSA) Bhupendra Narayan Singh had launched an investigation after it came to light that many 'fake' teachers were fraudulently drawing salaries for the past few years. As many as 51 such 'fake' teachers were suspended for using forged signatures and obtaining their jobs using fraudulent methods.
According to reports, the 'fake' teachers had duped the government of close to Rs 13 crore, which authorities now want to recover.
