Bahraich (UP): A teenage girl was killed after being attacked by a leopard in Matiapurwa village near Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary, police said Friday.
The incident took place Thursday when Pushpa (14) was working in her field.

A 14-year-old girl was killed in a leopard attack in Matiapurwa village, falling under the Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary in UP. The animal attacked the girl when she was working in a field and even the villagers could not rescue her as she succumbed to the injuries.

By the time villagers rushed to her rescue, she had succumbed to her injuries, police said.
The body has been sent for postmortem.
