Ghaziabad: Educational institutions switch to virtual classes to continue teaching amid shutdown

A teacher from Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad district Ajay is providing special free virtual classes to students as the schools and colleges have been closed down across the state following the Covid-19 outbreak. The initiative will ensure that students can study from the safety of their own homes and there is a continuity in their study schedule.

Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh): As the schools and colleges have been closed down across the state following the Covid-19 outbreak, Ajay Chaudhary institute in Ghaziabad has initiated online classes to do their bit for the students, whose education is at stake amid lockdown.

Ajay, a teacher at the institution is providing special free virtual classes to students, which could be accessed sitting at home. The initiative will ensure that students can study from the safety of their own homes and there is a continuity in their study schedule.

Explaining how the classes are conducted, Ajay said, " The process is similar to the regular classes the only difference is that teacher and students are connected virtually. While watching the video if students have any query, he or she can immediately comment in the middle of the session. The queries are either resolved immediately or are solved later by uploading another video depending upon the topic."

"Along with the youtube channel, we also have our app. The board students whose exams have been postponed are facing difficulty in clearing their doubts. In the situation of lockdown when schools and colleges are shut, teachers of our institution are available 24 hours to assist the students," said Ajay in conversation with ETV Bharat.

"We have provided a WhatsApp number, where the students can share their query. Our teachers provide the solution to the query via a video," said Ajay, who is conducting special classes for students from class 9 to class 12.
