Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh):A residential apartment near the JP Mehta Inter College here houses three music studios themed on--Indian, Western, and Karaoke music.
The apartment has three rooms which have been converted into studios representing three different streams of music.
The first room is for music lovers to practice Indian classical music. Musical instruments used in Indian classical music are kept in this room.
The courtyard of the house has been converted into a western music studio where western musical instruments have been kept.
The owner of the apartment Ajay Singh and his wife practices singing in the third room which is readied for Karaoke music.
Fusion of music in an apartment in Varanasi Speaking to ETV Bharat, classical musician Shruti said: "The lockdown period is a new experience. For the first time, we are live streaming a performance from home on Facebook. Normally, we perform on stage in different locations."
Ajay Singh said: "Lockdown allows families to spend time together. Every day, I spend time practising singing my family members. I appeal to people to spend time and share love with their family."
Pranjal, a flautist, said: "We all should support lockdown and stay indoors."
Western music artist Hemant Singh said: "It's not safe to go outside. Stay home. Listening to music can have a tremendously relaxing effect on our minds."
