Four smugglers held; drugs, cash worth crores recovered

Police have arrested four drug smugglers and seized drugs worth crore of rupees from them. Lakhs of rupees in cash were also recovered from them. They have been sent to jail while further investigation is on.

Bahraich: Four drug smugglers were arrested, and drugs, cash worth crores of rupees were recovered from them, police said.

The teams of special operation group (SOG) and Dargah police station arrested the four and recovered drugs, money, five mobile phones and two motorbikes from them, Vipin Kumar Mishra, SP, Bahraich, told ETV Bharat here.

He said the confiscated drug is worth Rs five crore in the international market. Rupees 5,25,000 were also recovered in cash from the smugglers.

The police officer said that the arrested have been sent to jail after filing a case while further probe is on.
