Agra: A five-year-old girl was reportedly molested by Shiek Asif during her visit to Taj Mahal on November 6. He will be produced before the court.
He was handed over to the tourism police by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawans. Tourism police inspector, Iqbal Hadar told that the accused is a driver hailing from Andhra Pradesh.
As the minor created a ruckus during molestation, her parents rushed to the spot and caught Shiek redhanded. Upon receiving information, CISF jawans took hold of him.
However, the minor's parents did not lodge any complaint and the police arrested him for breaching peace in Taj Mahal. The accused argued to the police that he was caressing the minor.
The minor along with her family had come to visit Taj Mahal. The molestation happened while she was playing in the Taj Mahal garden.
Another incident of molestation was also reported in Taj Mahal premises in February in which a village headman from Meerut clicked the photo of a girl from Kolkata.
