Farrukhabad: Five members of an inter-state gang, which would cheat people on the promise of getting them jobs, have been arrested while one managed to escape, police said.
A police official said that one Jandail Singh informed the police that four-five people, who generally operate from a car, would ask for rupees eight lakh per applicant for a job in the Indian Army. They charge rupees ten thousand extra for preparing documents of the applicants.
Acting on the tip-off, the police officials formed teams and the moment they came to know about the gang's presence, they raided the area and held five of them.
