Aligarh: An FIR has been registered against Puja Shakun Pandey, national general secretary of Hindu Mahasabha, for her alleged comment that the Tablighi Jamaat leaders and followers must be shot dead as they infected thousands of people with deadly coronavirus.
The police, on the basis of her statement doing rounds on social media, filed a case against her, official sources said.
The Hindu Mahasabha leader reportedly wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 4, suggesting that people who helped the deadly disease spread among public should be shot dead. She also gave the same statement to media after writing the letter to Modi.
Pandey, who was earlier arrested for allegedly shooting at an effigy of Mahatma Gandhi and glorifying his assassination on his death anniversary few months ago, has been a controversial leader.
