Kasganj (Uttar Pradesh): Eight accused have been arrested in connection with the triple murder in Uttar Pradesh's Kasganj on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.
Three members of a family were shot dead and one injured after personal enmity escalated in Hodalpur village of Kasganj district.
"Eight accused have been arrested close to the spot in Hodalpur village under Soron police station limits. Three revolvers that were used in the firing have also been seized, Deepak Ratna, DIG Aligarh said.
Deepak Ratna, DIG Aligarh "In an initial investigation, it was revealed that the incident took place as both the parties had personal enmity. On Sunday night, it escalated and three of the family members were shot dead and one was injured, who was later taken to the hospital," said Sushil Ghule, SP Kasganj.
Further investigation in the matter is underway.

The incident took place on Sunday evening when the family members were busy in their work. Suddenly, some unidentified miscreants barged into the house and took up an argument with the family members.
In the meanwhile, the miscreants fired several rounds of bullets at the four people killing three of them on the spot. The miscreants immediately fled from the spot.
After hearing the gunshots, some locals rushed to the spot and found the three people died there and one person lying in a pool of blood. They immediately rushed the injured person to a nearby hospital.
Later, the injured person was shifted to Kasganj DHH as his health condition deteriorated. The health condition of the injured person is stated to be critical, sources said.
