Lucknow:Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP from Amroha, Kunwar Danish Ali has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday seeking the establishment of a hospital and a medical college at the premises of Jamia Millia Islamia in Delhi. He said that the hospital will benefit the people of Uttar Pradesh and Delhi as well.
In his letter to PM Danish said, "I am writing this letter on varsity's history-making day. The second wave of Covid-19 has devastated the life of every Indian in a way that we could never have imagined. The next generations will never forgive us for our negligence and for the lack of preparation. We should wake up and take some concrete steps to set up a strong health infrastructure in the capital and across the nation to deal with Covid like pandemics,"
Giving reference to a World Health Organisation's (WHO) report Danish said, "according to the WHO report, the present Covid challenges are not over yet. So on the 101st Foundation Day of the Jamia Millia Islamia today, a hospital and medical college should be established on the premises of the university. This medical facility will not only help the large population of South Delhi and NCR but will also provide relief to the vast helpless population of Western Uttar Pradesh,"
