Bride refuses to marry groom who failed to recite table of 2

A bride has refused to marry the groom after he failed to recite the multiplication table of 2. This incident came to light in the Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh. Ratiram Ahirwar of Ballayan Village arranged his daughter Maya's marriage with Ramkishun, son of Ranjit Ahirwar, resident of Dhawar Village.

Mahoba: A bride has refused to marry the groom after he failed to recite the multiplication table of 2. This incident came to light in the Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh. Ratiram Ahirwar of Ballayan Village arranged his daughter Maya's marriage with Ramkishun, son of Ranjit Ahirwar, resident of Dhawar Village.

Ranjit Ahriwar along with his wedding party reached the girl's village for the wedding. However, the bride saw some strange behaviour of the groom and asked him to recite the multiplication table of 2. The groom failed to recite the table, following which the bride refused to marry the illiterate groom.

Despite several rounds of meetings and discussions between the two parties, the bride was stubborn. Later, the wedding party returned to their village of Dhawar without the bride.
