BJP leader, two others injured in cylinder blast in Unnao

BJP leader and two others were critically injured in a cylinder blast when a gas cylinder was thrown off a truck in UP's Unnao.

Unnao: A BJP leader and two others were critically injured in a blast that took place when a gas cylinder was thrown off a truck here in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday morning.

According to reports, BJP district President Shrikant Gautam and two others were going to Lucknow to attend a meeting when they stopped at a roadside eatery. They were injured after an explosion took place when a driver threw a gas cylinder, which had caught fire, off the vehicle parked nearby.

The injured have been admitted to the Trauma Centre in the King George's Medical University (KGMU) where their condition was said to be stable.

Eyewitnesses said that pieces of the gas cylinder had pierced into the face and neck of the victims.
