Mirzapur (Uttar Pradesh):A woman, who was mob lynched by the villagers due to rumour of child theft on September 6 in Uttar Pradesh's Mirzapur, turned out to be an illegal migrant from Bangladesh.
The woman has been sent to jail under Section 14 of the Foreign Act.
Mirzapur SP Awadhesh Kumar Pandey informed the media that the woman, an illegal migrant is from Bangladesh.
According to Awadhesh Kumar Pandey, Mirzapur SP, the woman has been identified as Naseema Parveen. She entered Indian territory in 2015 via Tripura and has been wandering since then.
"She understands 'Bengali' and a little bit 'English'. Her address is being verified after contacting the embassy of Bangladesh," said Awadhesh Kumar Pandey.
