Lucknow: Security has been tightened across Lucknow ahead of the much-awaited judgement in the Babri Masjid demolition case, in which several senior BJP leaders including L.K.Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti and Kalyan Singh are accused, would be pronounced by a special CBI court on September 30.
Ahead of Babri Masjid verdict, security tightened in Lucknow Special Judge (CBI) S.K.Yadav has directed all the 32 accused persons to be present in the court on that day. There were a total of 49 accused persons, in this case, to start with but 17 of them have died since then.
The CBI produced 351 witnesses and almost 600 documentary evidence before the court in the mosque demolition case.
Meanwhile, former union minister Uma Bharti, another accused, announced on Monday that she was admitted to AIIMS Rishikesh after she tested positive for Covid-19.

“If I get a positive nod from the AIIMS after tests, then I would like to appear in the CBI court of Lucknow the day after tomorrow,” she tweeted on Monday.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, DCP, DK Pandey said, "Security has been tightened. Police officials are checking people at main points in the district. The environment is peaceful here. We have appealed to people for not paying heed to rumours and inform police about such rumour mongers."
"Preparations have already started for the final order of CBI Special Court. Extensive security arrangements have been made and special care is being taken to ensure that there are no errors. A large number of forces have been deployed throughout Lucknow including the court premises," he added.
