ABVP members burn Azam Khan's effigy in Gorakhpur

Azam Khan's controversial remarks on Jaya Prada has received a strong reaction from the ABVP. To express their anger, they burnt his effigy and ABVP President Rajsharan Shahi said that the women of this country were strong and Azam Khan would be taught a lesson in the elections.

Gorakhpur (UP): ABVP members on Wednesday burnt an effigy of SP leader Azam Khan for his "khaki underwear" jibe at BJP leader Jaya Prada.

"Azam Khan has made derogatory remarks against a woman and we have always fought for the respect of women," Rajsharan Shahi, the president of ABVP's Goraksh Prant had said.

"The statement coming from a senior political leader shows the reality of his attitude towards women and it cannot be tolerated," the student wing of the BJP said.
