PM Modi has the skill to sell combs to bald people: Sanjay Singh

Sanjay Singh said Narendra Modi has the skill to sell combs even to the bald. A similar comment was made by Tejashwi Yadav in 2019.

Sambhal: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of making false promises and being a smart salesman by saying he has the skill of selling combs even to those who are bald. He even took up the wrestlers' protest issue and sought a statement from Modi over party MP MP Brij Bhushan Singh, who has sexual exploitation charges against him. Modi should come forward and answer on the party's behalf, he added.

In 2019, similar comment was made by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav during a roadshow in Patna. Yadav had then said Modi sold combs to bald people promising that their hair would grow during his regime.

Singh arrived in Sambhal on Sunday to hold a meeting in support of AAP candidate Fiza Shahzad, who has been fielded for the post of president of the Sambhal Municipal Council. Addressing the meeting, Singh accused the BJP of doing caste-based politics and alleged that Modi has sold the entire country to the Adani Group.

Targeting the Yogi Adityanath government over incidents of crime, Singh said Uttar Pradesh has witnessed several horrendous crimes like Hathras gang-rape, Umesh Pal murder case and Lakhimpur incident in the past. These incidents prove that the Yogi government is unable to handle the law and order situation in the state, he said.

Claiming that the AAP has repeatedly defeated the BJP, Singh called upon the Samajhwadi Party, Bahujan Samajwadi Party and Congress to help the AAP candidate win. Describing the party's broom symbol to be a bid for cleanliness, Singh asked all leaders to rid the state of lawlessness.

On BSP Lok Sabha member Afzal Ansari, Singh said it was a decision of the court. A court in Ghazipur on Saturday convicted Afzal Ansari under Gangster Act for allegedly killing the then BJP MLA Krishnand Rai in 2007.
