5-year-old boy stabbed to death in Moradabad

Faizan, a 5-year-old boy who went missing from Thursday afternoon was found stabbed to death in Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday night. Further investigation into the matter is on.

Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh):A 5-year-old boy was found stabbed to death in Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday night.

Faizan went missing suddenly on Thursday afternoon while playing outside his house in Wajidpur Tigri village in Bhojpur police station area, police said.

Faizan's father Usman returned home from the farm in the afternoon, and after getting information about the disappearance of the child, he started searching for him.

Usman also informed the police about the case. During the search, his body was found lying near a closed brick kiln.

Faizan's throat was cut-off with a sharp weapon and the knife used in the murder was found on the spot, police added.

According to SP Dehat Uday Shankar, an investigation is being conducted into the matter.

It is speculated that a close family member might have been involved in the crime.

A case has been registered and a search for the murderer is on.
