5 children die after mother throws them into the Ganges

Five minors - three girls, two boys - died due to drowning after their mother allegedly threw them into the River Ganges before jumping in herself in Bhadohi district of Uttar Pradesh. While the woman swam back to safety, all her children couldn’t survive the river currents.

Bhadohi (Uttar Pradesh):As many as five children - three girls, two boys - died due to drowning after their mother allegedly threw them into the River Ganges before jumping in herself in Bhadohi district of Uttar Pradesh.

While the woman swam back to safety, all her children - Shankar (6), Keshav (3), Aarti (11), Saraswati (7), Mateshwari (5) - couldn’t survive the river currents.

Meanwhile, local police officials are trying to recover the dead bodies and are trying to ascertain the reason behind the alleged suicide attempt and murder.
