Bulandshahr (Uttar Pradesh): At least three people were killed and over 30 injured after two Roadways buses collided on Budaun-Delhi highway in Bulandshahr in the wee hours of Thursday.
According to the Salempur police, one of the drivers apparently dozed off and lost control of the bus which led to the collision.
3 dies and over 30 injured in a bus accident on Budaun-Delhi highway The deceased were identified as Rakesh of Delhi, and Akhilesh and Samina of Badaun.
A cop of Salempur police station, Dalbir Singh, told media that their team reached the spot on time and injured people were immediately rushed to the District hospital and JP hospital.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent for the post-mortem examination.
On Wednesday, giving necessary directions to the concerned officers, transport minister Savatantra Dev Singh said that drivers should take a nap whenever the bus stops at any hotel.
