Ballia: In yet another incidents of the lightning strike, two people died, including a woman, were killed and two others got severely injured on Thursday while working in the fields in Senduria village under Narhi police station area.
The injured were rushed to a district hospital for treatment.
2 dead, 2 injured in lightning strike in Uttar Pradesh "Four people were scorched by lightning, two of them are dead while two are being treated. The deceased have been identified as 18-year-old Nisha and 60-year-old Bagedan Ram," Sumir Kumar, Emergency Medical Officer, District Hospital said.
Ten others were injured in thunderbolt strike on Wednesday while working in a field in Mahthapar village of the district. They were rushed to a hospital, where two women died during treatment.
In another incident at Rampur Madai village in Bhimpura area of the district, a 28-year-old farmer, Ram Sarikha Rajbhar was struck by lightning while working in his field and killed.
Meanwhile, four women were hit by lightning in Hajouth village of Khejuri area of the district. They were rushed to a hospital where their condition was stated to be stable.
