100 booked for lockdown violation in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh

Aligarh police filed a case against 100 unidentified people for violating norms of social distancing amid lockdown.

Aligarh: A police case has been filed against 100 people for violating the rules of lockdown in Jangalgarhi area of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.

The officials took action after a video has gone viral on social media, which showed people moving around in groups without wearing masks and violating the norms of social distancing.

A case has been registered at Delhi Gate police station under Section 269/188 and Pandemic Act in Criminal no.151/20.

The actions will be taken against people after identifying them.

Meanwhile, around 25 coronavirus positive cases have been reported in Aligarh.
