Hyderabad (Telangana): Union Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur on Saturday said that the Union Budget for 2021-22 fiscal presented by Nirmala Sitharaman would benefit all sections.
Speaking to media at the BJP office in Hyderabad, Thakur said, "We provided essential items to ensure that no one was troubled during the COVID pandemic."
The Minister stressed that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre had formulated the budget in a highly transparent manner and added that it would benefit all sections.
The Minister also assured that the Centre had not ignored Telangana and had done justice to the state even during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"With the central government's decision, we allotted many projects to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Funds have been allocated for electrification of railway lines in Telangana. No newcomers were taxed. This budget will be useful to take the economy forward," Thakur said.
