Unclaimed bag with gold concealed in motor causes flutter at Hyd airport

CISF personnel recovered an unclaimed bag containing around 1.5 kg of gold at Hyderabad International airport. The gold was concealed in the parts of a customised motor.

Hyderabad (Telangana):An unclaimed bag containing a customised motor with 1.5 kg of gold concealed in its parts has put the security personnel on tenterhooks at the international airport here, officials said on Monday.

On Sunday, the CISF personnel noticed the bag through a CCTV and alerted their bomb detection and disposal squad.

The squad checked the bag and found only gold which was concealed in the parts of the motor.

The team handed over the yellow metal to the Customs authorities, they said.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
