Bharat Bandh: TRS , Opposition parties hold peaceful protests in Telangana

Telangana Minister Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao said that the Farm Laws enable corporates to dominate the market. Minister of Finance Harish Rao and Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Kalvakuntla Kavitha also led protests in different parts of Telangana.

Hyderabad: The nationwide protest against the Central Government's Farm Laws was held peacefully in Telangana with Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), Congress, Left parties' demonstrations. Notably, Ministers including Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao (KTR), Harish Rao and Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Kalvakuntla Kavitha led protests in different parts of the state.

The ardent support extended by key party leaders of TRS depicted a clear picture of the party's support to the farmers. KTR said that the controversial farm laws would let the corporates create shortages on their own. The future picture depicts corporates ruling the market if the laws are enacted, he said. He was addressing the protesters in Shadnagar Burgula Gate in Rangareddy.

In addition, Rao also alleged that the Central Government avenged the farmers by passing the bills in the Parliament. He also affirmed that every citizen in the country should exercise his or her own right to protest. The Central Government lacks democratic spirit, he added.

While participating in the protest in Thupran in Medak district, Minister of Finance, Harish Rao, alleged that the BJP is attempting to terminate support pricing policy. The draconian laws should be withdrawn and till then the protest would continue, he said.

Assuring TRS party's support to farmers, TRS Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Kalvakuntla Kavitha encouraged everyone to oppose the Farm Laws. She said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again pushed the citizens on the roads.

MPs Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Satyavati Rathod, Indrakarn Reddy, Eetala Rajendar; MLA Sankar Nayak, MLC Tekriyal Chowrasta also led protests in different parts of the state. Moreover, people from all walks of life including employees and labourers took part in the protests.
