Eight inmates escape from rehabilitation centre in TS

Eight boys between the ages of 13 and 17 escaped from a rehabilitation centre in Telangana's Malkajgiri district. A complaint has been filed by Prem Kumar, warden of the Don Bosco Navjeevan Rehabilitation Centre for Street Children. According to reports, a search is currently underway.

Malkajgiri: Eight male inmates of a rehabilitation centre escaped after damaging the grills of the property in Telangana's Malkajgiri district, police said on Monday.

Uppal police said that a complaint was filed by Prem Kumar, warden of the Don Bosco Navjeevan Rehabilitation Centre for Street Children.

In his complaint, Kumar stated that on April 6, eight boys between the ages of 13 and 17 escaped from the rehabilitation centre. "The management has searched for the children but their efforts were in vain. Later, on Monday, they have approached us," police said.

The complainant mentioned that the children damaged grills in the rehabilitation centre and escaped from the spot. Other inmates, who have noticed the same, informed the matter to the management.

Special teams have been formed to search for the inmates.
