Nizamabad (Telangana):Hiba Fatima, a girl from the Rakasipet area of Nizamabad district has translated the most sacred book of Hindus, Bhagavad Gita into Urdu.
Hiba hails from an orthodox Muslim family. Currently a student of B.Ed programme, she has done an in-depth study on Bhagavad Gita with a longing to know about other religions. She also in the process of writing her own book.
Her father Ahmed Khan, a petty businessman who taught her lessons of equality, secularism and humanity since her childhood. He used to make her read holy books of all religions.
She made use of YouTube videos to learn about Bhagavad Gita, but the various interpretations of Gita has only added to her confusion. It was then she finally decided to translate Gita after doing an in-depth study on the book.
Hiba studied in Urdu medium upto intermediate and later in English. In order to undertake a full-fledged study of the Gita, she procured their English, Hindi and Telugu versions.
After going through all of them, she commenced the translation into Urdu, in a way that is easily understood by the youth of her age group.
