Hyderabad:TPCC chief Revanth Reddy led by Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, Manikrao Thakare, Uttam Kumar Reddy and Mallu Ravi met Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and handed over a letter staking the claim to form the government. They reportedly told the Governor that they would disclose the name of the CLP leader after a meeting on Monday.
Furthermore, Telangana Chief Electoral Officer Vikas Raj will meet Governor Tamilisai Soundarajan on Monday and submit a report on the Assembly elections to the Governor. Similarly, a notification will be issued for the formation of a new Assembly.
Earlier, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar disclosed that Congress MLAs will meet on Monday at 9.30 am. The Congress, which secured absolute majority is gearing up to form the government. Sources say that Revanth Reddy is likely to take oath as the new Chief Minister of Telangana. Instructions have been given to higher police officers to provide elaborate arrangements for the swearing-in ceremony. It is learnt that Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi may attend the swearing-in ceremony.
